Bella's Injury

Another serious injury at the farm.  Ketta's baby, Bella, laid down for a nap and got caught under the arena fencing. Luckily we found her right away and were able to save her. Erika Rolf, Kara Einspahr and I teamed up  for a safe rescue, then Dr. Stava came for stitches and bandaging.  Erika will take the lead on wound dressings this time.

Gracie's 11th Birthday

Our beautiful Gracie is 11 years old today!

Time To Go Back To Work!!!

Scott and I often joke about how while cleaning one area of the house, the children are actively messing up another. Well today while cleaning my kitchen, I began to smell FUMES!!  Marshall found Gracie's black nail polish from Halloween and decided to paint his toes, Nyla's toes, our brand new carpet and lots more!  Today is one of those days I feel like we would ALL be better off if I got a job and put the kids in daycare!

Gracie's New Horse!!

After nearly a year-long search, we finally found Gracie's special horse. "Magic Moment" is a 6 year old Morgan gelding from the Grunden Ranch Morgans in Curtis, Nebraska.  He's broke to ride but doesn't have any dressage or jumping skills.  We decided to invest in good temperament, good confirmation and good movement. It will be up to Gracie to put all the buttons on him!

Today I want to wish all the special mothers in my life a very Happy Mother's Day!!  I hope you are all able to have some rest and pampering on this special day! To my own mother I just want to say, "I love you and miss you more than you can imagine!"
